I have my place in the world
a place to be
to know where I come from
to know where I'll be
I have a dream
there is only one me
in my life
the steps I take
welcoming the change
in my life
it's about the journey
stages of develoment
what I know about how I grow
I have felt the intimacy
from the lives I've touched
the music I've shared
the souls that have been stirred
taking the space between other human beings
I have felt the isolation
thoughts & memories divested of emotions
lonesome day-time hours
incomplete feelings of unexpressed emotion
emptiness, chronical loneliness & apart from it
the IT is apart of what everything is
preserving the good vibes
emanating the optimism from a human source
you never know how you look through other people's eyes
feelings guiding your actions
feelings of modivation to act
the meaning in front of you
and the pain, oh the pain
behind every beautiful thing
so on this day of my birth
enlightening myself for what it's worth
sharing my writing apart from me
I am making this for me
I am alive
a life to live
life is a pleasure I have found
I live for others
people make me who I am
I am good
