it's sad to think true love isn't meant for me
I better be careful what I wish for
the whole love-thing is a handful
so much responsibility
so much care
anything but easy
mingling in another persons affairs
changing into
changing them
mixing up, fixing hang-ups
dealing with feelings of the heart
some things the heart wants and needs are
Impossible
conservation of the soul
giving and still keeping
my identity
you know the condition of being oneself
always respecting myself enough to be honest
about my feelings without being ugly towards
the other person
truth is I like who I am
I like how I think about things
I am seeking a woman to share all of myself with
I am seeking a wholeness
equally sharing both of our inward natures
completing each other
living with hopes for goodness
having the mindfulness to care
about the betterment of us as a couple
together we will have
Courage
cos we will depend on each other for
truth & honesty
each giving the other space to grow
all the while keeping the heart open
Lastly, the human spirit
needs fuel to be powerful
we can feed out spirit with
Optimism
it makes life more exciting
