Sunshine
by: Sparklehorse
I opened my eyes
And watched the sunshine
It had been out all night
To relax and unwind
There will come a time gigantic
Waves will crush the junk that I have saved
When the moon explodes or floats away
I'll lose the souvenirs I made
La la la
I lay down on the grass
And let the insects do their thing
She covered me with wings and
Held my head and said ‘poor thing’
There will come a time gigantic
Waves will crush the junk that I have saved
When the moon explodes or floats away
I'll lose the souvenirs I made
La la la
If you're a person who has difficulty with change, this will hit a soft spot, because it reminds you that life continues on and you can't possibly
keep all of your past memories of pain and love and joy that are precious to you and you've collected over your life. Life and the things in
life that come to pass at times are heavy or a lot comes to you at once, and one day, you look up and realize things have changed because
you're trying to hard to hold on to past things that you don't realize what has come to pass already. …Then you slow down at a point and
realize you forgot about precious memories or hurtful things that you wanted to hold on to in sense of the feelings they gave you, but now
and again, it will continue to happen. It is painful, even though they are mere feelings and thoughts, mental, emotional souvenirs.
If you're like me, you have certain spots, or areas you visit more than once when you have been hit by a memory or feeling and you want to
wind down, and this area/spot you continue to come back to, reminds you of so much. Depressing but sometime it's the only way to think
clearly or get peace when you need to sort out thoughts, situations.
