One Truth Over Another

Love Thy Neighbor

By: George Waldrop

does it bother you that you don't know me?
I belong to no one, I am apart of everyone
my goal is to function and flow with the grace of all I know
I belong to no one, I am apart of everyone
one who is a servant, makes for the best leader
with people, I am apart, with people, in my heart
the daylight will find, you in the warm-hold of my mind
the nighttime will find, a peacefulness so kind
we all have this place in our world
everyone who is in this world belongs
with the oneness of our maker
with the oneness of our creator
father sun, mother earth, light this night, born of earth
a sound mind, vibration of rhythm
a heart, a soul, you to feel what I am giving,
to receive what I am giving
rest easy when you think of me next door
a peaceful mind to live your life
a peaceful mind to love your home
a peaceful mind to live your life
a neighbor that lives all alone
have mercy on the lonely
when you read my heavy heart
have mercy on the lonely
when you grow to understand my art
there is a friendship in my mind
there is a open heart of brotherly love
there is a friendship so kind
together we can live in our neighborhood
together we can share all that is good
